Nigerian relationship therapist Blessing CEO has spoken publicly after her partner, Ikechukwu Darry Ogobnna, popularly known as IVD, was discharged and acquitted in the case surrounding the death of his late wife.

Taking to her Instagram page, Blessing announced that the court reached its decision on December 15, 2025. She described the moment as the end of a long and painful journey, stating that the past four years were filled with tears, pressure, and what she called false narratives.

In her post, Blessing expressed confidence in Nigeria’s justice system, saying the outcome reaffirmed her belief that the system still works. She congratulated IVD and told him he could finally reclaim his life after years of uncertainty.

She also used the moment to advise people in troubled marriages or relationships to walk away early, stressing that no one should remain in a toxic situation until it leads to irreversible consequences.

IVD, on his part, acknowledged Blessing’s support, appreciating her for standing by him and helping him rebuild during one of the most difficult periods of his life.

The development comes months after IVD was briefly arrested at the airport while attempting to travel to Qatar. At the time, the arrest was linked to the ongoing domestic violence case involving his late wife, Bimbo. Blessing had publicly challenged the arrest, insisting there was no court order restricting his movement and accusing certain individuals of harassment and intimidation.

Blessing and IVD’s relationship first became public in 2023, when she shared photos of a man with a tattoo of her name, sparking widespread speculation. She later confirmed the relationship during an interview, speaking openly about finding love again after believing she had emotionally shut down.

Earlier this year, Blessing announced her engagement to the auto dealer, describing the relationship as one built on peace and emotional stability, a shift from the drama she said once defined her past.
