Job Description
The Account Officer will work from our office in_ Morogbo, Agbara_ and will be responsible for managing financial transactions, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with different departments within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Financial Management:
Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, billing, and expense tracking.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Compliance and Reporting: - Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
Generate financial statements and reports for management review.
Provide accurate and timely financial information for internal and external audits.
Budget Monitoring: - Assist in the preparation of annual budgets in collaboration with various departments.
Monitor budget performance and provide regular reports on variances.
Work closely with project managers to track project budgets and expenses.
Vendor and Client Management: - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to process invoices and ensure timely payments.
Collaborate with the sales team to manage client invoicing and resolve billing issues.
Address financial inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Cash Flow Management: - Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for operational needs.
Implement effective strategies to optimize working capital.
Financial Analysis: - Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication: - Collaborate with different departments to gather financial information and support decision-making.
Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Account Officer or similar role in the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must reside within Agbara, Ijanikin, Ojo or Environs.
