Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, has taken to Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s 6-month milestone. The mother of two, who shares the child with music star Portable, shared a touching video capturing her pregnancy journey and her daughter’s growth over the past six months.
In a heartfelt caption, Ashabi revealed the significance behind her daughter’s name, Oluwademilade, and how everything surrounding the name initially seemed contradictory. However, she expressed gratitude to God for perfecting everything.
She hinted at sharing the story behind her daughter’s name someday, but for now, she remains content and thankful for the joy her daughter brings.
“Everything surrounding your name, IRORUNOLUWA, was like the opposite, but because GOD doesn’t make mistakes, He perfected them. Today, I’m happy I have you to call mine.”
Ashabi poured out her prayers for her daughter, declaring that she would grow in God’s grace, wisdom, and understanding. She expressed hope for continued joy and peace, emphasizing how her daughter’s presence has brought her immense contentment.
“May death not snatch you away from me, Abisola mi; I have known your beginning, and truly, EYITAYO, I won’t know your end. Everything about you brings me peace ever since I learned to let go, look away, and be contented.”
This celebration comes months after Ashabi and Portable welcomed their second child in September. The proud father announced the news on his Instagram page with a clip of the newborn and shared maternity photos of Ashabi. He thanked God for the blessing and expressed his love for his “princess.”
Ashabi also celebrated the moment, expressing her joy at having a new playmate and the happiness the child brings to her life.
