The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed that unknown gunmen attacked its headquarters in the early hours of Wednesday, November 22nd.
Suleiman Nguroje (SP), the Police Public Relations Officer, stated that more information on the attack would be published as soon as feasible.
The Police Public Relations Officer said a complete investigation into the incident has begun and that the public would be informed as soon as feasible.
Sporadic gunfire from the attack woke inhabitants of Yola, the state capital, in the middle of the night, however, relative calm has now returned.
The assaulted police headquarters which is only a few metres away from the Yola Government House.
