The Adamawa State Police Command has deployed additional personnel to Kwapre village in Hong Local Government Area after a deadly attack on local vigilantes.
The attack, believed to be carried out by suspected Boko Haram militants, resulted in the deaths of at least 10 vigilantes.
In response to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, ordered a thorough investigation into the attack.
He emphasised the need for swift justice and reassured the public that security forces are actively working to apprehend those responsible.
The police have also increased patrols in the affected area to restore peace and prevent further violence.
Community leaders and residents have been urged to cooperate with security agencies to ensure the safety and security of the region.
This deployment reflects the commitment of the Adamawa State Police Command to combat insurgent activities and protect local communities from such attacks.
