ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
managing our social media pages, and conducting marketing activities to onboard more vendors
Overview
The Order Fulfillment Assistant is responsible for receiving goods from Nigerian-based vendors of our online marketplace, ensuring that the correct items are being sent, and that they are packaged properly with visible delivery details. The assistant will also prepare orders for bulk shipping to the UK and ensure that they are sent to customers efficiently. Additionally, the role involves liaising with vendors, answering their queries, carrying out quality control of fashion products, managing our social media pages, and conducting marketing activities to onboard more vendors to the marketplace.
Responsibilities
1. Receiving Goods:
– Receive and inspect goods from Nigerian-based vendors.
– Check goods against orders on the website to ensure accuracy.
– Verify that items are packaged correctly with visible delivery details.
2. Order Preparation:
– Prepare orders for bulk shipping to the UK.
– Ensure all items are properly packed and labelled for shipment.
– Coordinate with logistics providers for timely shipping.
3. Vendor Liaison:
– Answer vendor queries regarding goods that have been shipped.
– Provide vendors with updates on their shipments and address any issues that arise.
4. Quality Control:
– Conduct regular quality checks on company-owned products to ensure they meet marketplace standards.
– Maintain accurate records of received goods and quality inspections.
5. Social Media Management:
– Engage with our online community and respond to inquiries.
6. Marketing Activities:
– Assist in marketing efforts to onboard new vendors to the marketplace.
– Promote the benefits of joining our platform to prospective vendors.
– Participate in marketing campaigns and outreach activities.
Qualifications:
– Education:
– Minimum of a O’Levels qualification or equivalent. A degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
– Experience:
– Previous experience in order fulfillment, logistics, quality control, or a similar role is advantageous.
– Experience in customer service, vendor management, or social media management is beneficial.
– Skills:
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills.
– Proficiency in using computer systems and online platforms for order management.
– Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
– Basic knowledge of marketing principles and social media strategies.
– Familiarity with quality control processes, especially in fashion products.
– Proficiency in managing social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
