Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola has fired back at a troll who stormed her Instagram page to call her “mumu.”
The male follower dropped the unprovoked comment under her post, writing: “You be mumu.”
In a sharp response, the Yoruba actress questioned what the troll himself could be if he had the audacity to call her such a name. She noted that some people deliberately seek attention and, when ignored, resort to online bullying.
“If this one can call me MUMU, please what is he? Calling me MUMU unprovoked? If they seek your attention and you don’t give, they resort to bullying. It’s always the handsome ones who are keypad warriors. Enjoy your 5 minutes of fame.”
Allwell’s clapback adds her to the growing list of celebrities who have stood their ground against trolls.
Just weeks ago, actress Lizzy Jay clashed with a critic who labeled her “dry,” firing back with a body-shaming retort. Similarly, Portable’s baby mama Ashabi once blasted a troll who tagged her a “babymama,” hitting back with harsh words.
Other stars like DJ Cuppy, Genevieve Nnaji, and Sophia Momodu have also confronted online bullies, with many using the opportunity to highlight the toxic culture of social media trolling that often extends to celebrities’ children.
