Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his support for Xavi Hernandez’s decision to extend his tenure as Barcelona’s head coach.
Ancelotti believes Xavi made the right choice by reversing his initial decision to leave the club this summer. Despite Real Madrid’s pursuit of their 36th La Liga title, Ancelotti commended Xavi for his dedication to Barcelona and his understanding of the club’s dynamics.
Xavi had previously announced his intention to step down due to mental fatigue but has now committed to stay until at least the end of his contract in 2025.
Ancelotti’s remarks come ahead of Real Madrid’s upcoming clash against Real Sociedad as they edge closer to securing the La Liga title.
The Italian tactician will lead his side against Sociedad on April 27, with Real Madrid poised to clinch the league title over their rivals Barcelona and Girona.
