Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly addressed what she describes as rising envy and hostility from some of her colleagues in the film industry.
Taking to her Instagram story, the actress claimed that if not for God’s protection, her enemies would have succeeded in taking her life. Angela expressed frustration over the level of hate she faces, saying it has made her wary of friendships within the industry.
According to her, some colleagues pretend to want to be friends but secretly dislike her, with intentions she fears could be harmful. While she has no issue with people imitating her style, she said the real danger is their alleged attempts to “take her off the surface of the earth.”
If it wasn’t for God, my enemies would have killed me,” she wrote. “The hate in this industry is too much. People want to be like me so bad, but the wickedness of wanting to eliminate me is what I can’t understand. That’s why I avoid people because there’s no one to trust.”
This revelation comes days after Angela shared details about her ongoing health battles. She disclosed that recent medical tests revealed fragments of bullet pellets still lodged in her body from a past assassination attempt.
In June, Angela expressed gratitude for surviving multiple life-threatening situations, stating, “If men were God, I would have been long gone.” She has previously recounted how she narrowly escaped an attack in 2021, which left her battling injuries and enduring years of recovery.
