Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has joined the conversation on Regina Daniels’ alleged domestic violence ordeal with her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko, urging women to speak up against abuse.
Hours after a viral video surfaced showing Regina in distress while her brother tried to defend her from thugs allegedly sent by her husband, Angela shared her thoughts online.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress expressed sadness over what many women go through in silence, insisting that no man has the right to raise his hands on a woman, not in love, anger, or marriage.
Angela called on women to speak out rather than protect their abusers through silence.
“Marriage is not a prison. Love is not meant to hurt,” she wrote.
She also urged platforms and voices across the country to amplify their stance against domestic violence, stressing that every woman deserves dignity and respect.
However, her reaction sparked controversy as actress Doris Ogala accused Angela of hypocrisy.
Doris took to Instagram to slam Angela for allegedly mocking Regina before turning around to preach against domestic violence. She accused Angela of being violent in her past relationships and claimed she once beat her ex-husband.
“Angela, you are the last person to mock Regina. You used to beat your husband and even brought men into your home. You can’t be playing victim now,” Doris wrote.
In another post, she called out Angela for “trying to act like a motivational speaker” after allegedly mocking Regina earlier.
This isn’t the first time Angela and Regina have clashed publicly. Their feud dates back to June when Angela claimed to have forgiven Mercy Johnson, which prompted Regina to call her “mad” and warn Mercy not to forgive either.
Adding a new twist, investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo claimed that Ned reached out to her, saying he wasn’t at home when the incident occurred. According to Kemi, Ned alleged that Regina destroyed cars and windows in their house after a disagreement.
She also claimed that Ned accused Regina of slapping her nannies and driver while allegedly under the influence of substances.
“Ned said Regina’s behaviour was unstable and that she needs medical help. He claimed she has been filming him secretly and acting incoherently,” Kemi alleged.
Actress Yvonne Jegede also weighed in, advising Regina to prioritize her safety if domestic violence is indeed involved.
“If violence is part of it, leave to live. There’s no excuse for domestic violence,” she said, encouraging Regina not to be bullied by online trolls.
Amid all the drama, many fans and celebrities continue to urge both parties to settle their differences privately while prioritizing the wellbeing of their children.
