Angela Okorie opens up about her health battle as she undergoes series of checkups and reflects on surviving a life-threatening ordeal.
The Nollywood actress shared a video from her hospital bed, revealing that the past two weeks have been extremely difficult. She disclosed that she’s been moving from one hospital to another, undergoing various tests due to ongoing health concerns linked to a past incident.
Angela explained that she hasn’t been feeling well lately and was advised by her doctor to take a break and go on bed rest. During one of her medical reviews, doctors discovered that fragments of bullet pellets are still lodged in her body—years after the attempted attack on her life.
“The last two weeks have been so hectic, lovers.
It’s been one hospital or the other running some series of tests on my head and body… good health is underestimated. I went for my checkups, and it was found that there are still fragments of bullet pellets on my head. As years go by, more still comes out. But at the end, it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. God is with me, no doubt.”
Angela’s latest update brings back memories of her 2021 revelation, where she spoke out about surviving a brutal attack and how God saved her life. She noted back then that bullet fragments were still surfacing years after the incident. While many doubted her story, she stood firm in her testimony.
Two years later, during a feud with fellow actress Uche Elendu, Angela accused her of betraying her trust by recording her during her vulnerable moments and leaking the footage to a blogger. She called out the hypocrisy of those who mocked her pain but pretended to care.
