Nollywood actress Angela Okorie writes to Nigeria Police Force as she begins the month of July with a strong message of appreciation and reassurance.
In a detailed post on Instagram, Angela reaffirmed her respect for the Nigeria Police Force and made it clear that she would never disrespect the institution in any way. She also used the opportunity to appreciate their efforts over the years, especially during her 2019 shooting incident.
“Let us not forget: on December 12, 2019, I was shot and attacked, and it was the Nigeria Police Force that rescued me and still conducted a professional investigation,” she wrote.
Angela said the support and love from the police since then have been unforgettable. She also thanked them for a recent invitation and promised to continue promoting their image and integrity.
“Thank you, Nigerian Police Force, for the invitation last week. I promise to keep promoting the image and integrity of our dear NPF!”
Her post is coming shortly after reports surfaced that actress Mercy Johnson had filed a petition against her, following months of online jabs and allegations from Angela.
Although some media outlets claimed she was arrested, Angela cleared the air during an Instagram live session, explaining that she was only invited for questioning and honoured the invite peacefully.
Angela and Mercy’s long-standing feud has raised eyebrows in recent months, especially after Angela accused Mercy of “spiritual wrongdoing” during a live session in June. Though she later claimed to have forgiven Mercy after hearing of her health struggles, she urged her to seek forgiveness from those she may have hurt.
Actress Regina Daniels also stepped into the conversation, calling Angela’s behaviour uncalled for and urging Mercy not to forgive her.
