Annie Idibia unfollows 2baba on Instagram, signaling yet another crack in their already troubled marriage. The Nollywood actress and the legendary singer, who were once considered one of Nigeria’s strongest celebrity couples, now appear to be cutting ties both privately and publicly.
Checks reveal that Annie no longer follows her husband on the platform, and 2baba has also returned the gesture. Interestingly, the singer has reduced his follow list to just 33 accounts, which include his new wife Natasha, and industry colleagues like Don Jazzy, Kemi Adetiba, Ayo Makun, and Nasboi.
This latest move comes shortly after Annie subtly called him out online. In a recent Instagram story, she praised several men as exemplary fathers, mentioning Peter Okoye and others—while deliberately leaving out her husband.
Just last month, Annie hinted at moving forward, writing that she prefers to “archive and move on.” At the Headies awards, she made her stance even clearer when she reintroduced herself as Annie Macaulay instead of Annie Idibia, proudly declaring she is single.
The back-and-forth follows 2baba’s own public announcement earlier in the year that his marriage to Annie had ended. The music icon has since remarried Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru in a traditional ceremony attended by close family, including his parents. Clips from the event captured parental blessings, with prayers that this new marriage would be his last.
