The Area Sales Manager (Pharma & Medical Devices) role will report to the Regional Sales Manager
Description
- The Area Sales Manager (Pharma & Medical Devices) role will report to the Regional Sales Manager with the primary responsibility of leading a team of Business Executives to achieve Sales targets and Sales Promotion activities. This position will be domiciled in Ibadan but will cover the South/West (Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ogun, and Kwara) Business areas respectively.
Responsibilities
- Making Monthly doctor visiting plan for all Business Executives’ team members and implementing it effectively through regular follow-up and discussions with team members.
- Organizing special meetings with doctors and healthcare professionals through Business Executives according to his daily and monthly planning.
- Set up campaigns and awareness programs for patients & healthcare professionals. Job
- Keep in regular contact with team members and maintain healthy communication & relationships.
- Organizing conferences and seminars for doctors and healthcare professions

- Fulfill all requirements of team members in line with the company’s policies and plans.
- Reviewing sales and stock availability in assigned areas.
- Completing monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
- Building relationships with Doctors and Healthcare professions
- Daily reporting to older colleagues about daily work, meetings, and performance

- Expert in financial control, collections, and commercial functions of the business area.
- Experts in handling queries, and complaints and providing timely resolutions.
- Ensure constant training of team members.
- Keeping detailed records of contacts.
- Regularly attending monthly, quarterly, and yearly meetings of the company.
- Keeping up to date about company products, services, and schemes.
- Monitoring activities, products, and services of competitors.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Micro Biology, Biological Sciences, Natural Sciences, or related field.
- 3 – 6 years’ work experience.
- Proven medical/pharma sales experience.
- Product Knowledge.
- Creativity and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in large territorial sales and marketing activities.
- Market research and intelligence to tap competitor analysis.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work and liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Team building
- Forecasting and visionary approach
- Sales management and leadership skills
- Proven experience in hospital detailing and sales is an added advantage.
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must reside in Ibadan with the ability to travel within the region of residence.
