At least 286 Nigerian Army officers are taking part in the 2023 Captain to Major practical examination, which is designed to assess officers’ readiness for higher-level tasks.
The Commander Training and Doctrine Command of the Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Kevin Aligbe told applicants and officers in Abeokuta on Sunday that officers will be evaluated properly during the test.
Aligbe went on to say that the candidates will be evaluated in areas such as mental and physical fitness, communication, and logical thinking, among others.
He advised students to tackle the examination with zeal, stating that cheating and other examination malpractices would not be tolerated.
He stated that the assessment was still important, particularly in light of the country’s present security difficulties.
He said that the present global security issues, including terrorism and insurgency, had remained a top priority for relevant authorities, and that no stone would be left unturned in combating the threat front on.
He stated that the examination will focus on the worldwide threat of terrorism and insurgency, as well as efficient communication, logical thinking, and map reading.
