Paris Saint-Germain approached Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to become their new manager. But RMC reports that Arteta has rebuffed their approach.
After firing Christophe Galtier earlier this month, the Ligue 1 champions are searching for a new manager.
Galtier took over as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement last summer, although he only stayed for one season at Parc des Princes. Galtier won the Ligue 1 champions with PSG, although only by one point, and was eliminated from the Champions League by Bayern Munich in the round of 16.
The former Bayern Munich manager, who has lately rebuffed approaches from Chelsea and Spurs, appeared to be on the verge of being hired, but he is believed to be no longer interested in the position.
As the new season approaches, PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, will now consult with more prospects.
