Ashabi Celebrates Adeniyi Johnson, Praises His Support and Versatility

Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, has showered accolades on her senior colleague Adeniyi Johnson for his unwavering support, humility, and acting brilliance.

Taking to her Instagram page, Ashabi shared throwback photos of herself with Adeniyi Johnson and revealed that they share a common hometown. She described him as one of her favorite actors who has consistently shown her love and support throughout her career.

Ashabi expressed deep appreciation for Johnson’s humility, noting how he interacts with others on an equal level despite his celebrity status. She fondly recounted their collaboration in her first movie, ATO (Sperm), where he played her husband in 2020. Five years later, they reunited on set for her upcoming film Omoronike, where he reprised a similar role.

In her words:

Thank you for always making yourself available most times. You’re the celebrity who will joke with you like you’re on the same level, saying, ‘Kini kini, emi o n se celebrity ki n ma da dii.’ My actor wey sabi interpret role like kilode, ko je ni overdo. May GOD bless your craft more.”

She excitedly announced that Omoronike will premiere on YouTube on May 20, 2025, encouraging fans to watch the “magic” they created together.

Ashabi, who recently premiered her movie The Deputy, expressed gratitude to fans for their overwhelming support. Earlier this year, she shared her New Year resolution, stating her decision to prioritize projects that bring her pride and happiness while emphasizing the importance of being fairly compensated for her work.
