responsible for coordinating all aspects of the awards process, including awards promotion

Overview

The Balearica Awards drives the African tourism industry through world class tourism events and meetings. Our flagship event is the Nigeria Tourism Awards whichh celebrates excellence and innovation in the Nigerian tourism industry

The Balearica Statuettes are the most sought after awards statuette in Nigeria, designed after the Crowned Crane, once voted the national bird of Nigeria.

Role Description

 

This is a full-time role for an Awards Coordinator at The Balearica Awards. The Awards Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the awards process, including awards promotion, call for nominations, managing submissions, overseeing the judging process, and coordinating the awards ceremony. This is a hybrid role that allows for some remote work, but it is primarily located in Lagos, Nigeria.

Qualifications

  • Strong social media management skills
  • Excellent sales and marketing skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience in event planning and coordination added advantage
  • Knowledge of the tourism industry added advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
