Renowned Nigerian comedian and actor, Ayo Makun, has decided to take legal action against defamation amid rumours circulating the internet regarding his alleged relationship with May Edochie, the wife of Yul Edochie.
The controversy arose when Agozi Samuel, in a now-deleted Facebook post, accused the comedian of having an affair with May Edochie, leading to the dissolution of her marriage to Yul. Ayo Makun, in response, filed a petition to the police against Samuel, citing defamatory statements that have allegedly harmed his over a decade-long reputation.
Captioning the post, Ayo Makun declared, “Enough is enough.”
The move has garnered support from netizens, with many expressing solidarity and urging Ayo Makun not to relent in taking legal action.
Meanwhile, speculations about trouble in Ayo Makun’s own marriage have surfaced, as his wife, Mabel Makun, hinted at a marital crisis through cryptic posts online, citing threats to her life. The couple has unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking further discussions about the state of their relationship. The developments come as a surprise, considering the couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in November, with Ayo praising Mabel in December.
