Federal government has reaffirmed its dedication to tackling the numerous types of insecurity like banditry that exist in the nation’s diverse regions.
While heading a presidential delegation to Yobe State to express sympathy to the state’s government and people for the recent occurrence in the Mafa village, Wale Edun, the minister of finance and coordination minister of the economy, gave this assurance.
According to him, the visit showed how committed the federal government is to putting an end to instability and advancing stability and peace across the country.
The Minister offered the people of Yobe State and the families of the Mafa attack victims his sincere sympathies on behalf of President Tinubu.
Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser who was also in the entourage, stated that the end of terrorism and banditry in Nigeria was near.
He praised the army and other security agencies for their efforts to combat terrorism in the Northeast and other crimes around the country.
The National Security Agency said:
“The security agencies have been so wonderful, making a lot of sacrifices to safeguard lives and property in the country.
“What we are now seeing is the beginning of the end, it is just a matter of time, the entire country will be secured.”
