Nigerian singer and politician Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, and his wife, actress Adesua Etomi, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy.
Banky W shared the news through a heartfelt Instagram post, showing how he’s embraced the responsibilities of fatherhood and support for his wife during this new season.
In a video shared online, Banky W expressed his view on marriage, saying it’s a “100-100” partnership, not “50-50.” Since Adesua’s delivery, he’s taken on roles like chef, housekeeper, homework teacher, and masseuse to provide full support for his wife and family. He encouraged other men to “do the needful” as part of supporting their partners, adding that elevating women’s roles strengthens society.
Banky W also mentioned balancing family duties with his academic pursuit, as he recently began his Master’s in Policy Management at Georgetown University. The singer emphasized that supporting women’s economic empowerment starts in the home, reinforcing his commitment to family and community.
Following the birth announcement, Adesua praised her husband as “the best partner in the world” in the Instagram comment section, expressing her gratitude for his unwavering support. Friends and fans, including Nollywood stars like Jemima Osunde, Peggy Ovire, and Stan Nze, have also celebrated Banky W for his devotion and encouragement toward Adesua.
The couple, who married in 2017, overcame challenging times, including the heartbreak of a miscarriage before the birth of their first child in 2021. Last year, Banky and Adesua faced infidelity rumours, which Banky W addressed, affirming his commitment to his family and faith. The Wellingtons’ journey has inspired many, as they openly share their highs and lows, showcasing resilience, love, and unity.
