Nigerian singer Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has expressed gratitude and said a heartfelt prayer as he and his wife, actress Adesua Etomi, await the arrival of their second child.
Earlier this week, the couple took to Instagram to announce the exciting news, sharing stunning maternity photos of Adesua. In their joint post, the duo reflected on their journey together, noting that they first had each other, then a son, and now, they are expecting another addition to their family. They expressed deep gratitude, stating, “Now, we have everything.”
In a follow-up Instagram story, Banky W shared a powerful prayer for his family. He prayed that their lives would continuously be a testament to the undeniable truth that Jesus is alive and affirmed God’s goodness in answering prayers.
May our lives forever be a series of indisputable evidence, and unquestionable proof that Jesus is alive. God is good, and He answers prayers. Thank you, Jesus,” Banky W wrote.
Banky W and Adesua Etomi have been married since 2017, and their journey has been filled with love, resilience, and faith. In 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, after experiencing a miscarriage that led to the loss of their twins.
However, the strength of their bond was put to the test last year when their marriage faced infidelity rumours. A gossip blogger had alleged that Banky W cheated on Adesua and impregnated another woman, believed to be Niyola, a former artist on his record label. According to the blogger, Banky W had reportedly asked Niyola to terminate the pregnancy, but she refused, citing two previous abortions.
Banky W addressed the rumours during a church service, denouncing the claims as an attack from the devil. He reassured his congregation that God is in control and expressed deep appreciation for his wife, Adesua, whom he credits for her unwavering support during trying times.
Just a month ago, Banky W revealed that he and his family had relocated overseas as he pursued a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He described this new phase as one centered on family, faith, and finding purpose, and he called on his followers for prayers as they embark on this new chapter.
