Bayern Munich is strategizing to appoint an interim manager while they await potential availability of Xabi Alonso or Jurgen Klopp for the managerial role.
In the aftermath of Thomas Tuchel’s impending departure from the club, Bayern initially considered Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann. However, Alonso opted to remain at Bayer Leverkusen, and Nagelsmann committed to a new deal with DFB.
The Bavarian club, as per Kicker, is now contemplating appointing an interim manager as they keep an eye on Alonso or Klopp for the following year. They have compiled a shortlist of potential managers, including Lucien Favre and Hansi Flick, to potentially fill the role temporarily.
Bayern also approached Zinedine Zidane, who reportedly declined the offer, favoring a potential move to Manchester United.
As Bayern navigates managerial transitions, they continue their Bundesliga campaign with upcoming fixtures, including a clash against Eintracht Frankfurt following recent victories over Arsenal and Union Berlin.
