Former Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Nengi Rebecca Hampson, popularly known as Nengi, has melted hearts with a touching video of herself and her baby girl.
In March, Nengi surprised fans by announcing the birth of her first child. Sharing a heartfelt video from the hospital, the reality star described her daughter’s arrival as “the purest form of love.”
On Sunday, Nengi gave her fans another glimpse into her journey as a first-time mother, posting an adorable clip on her Instagram story of her cradling her daughter. The video has since drawn admiration from her followers, who have showered her with love and congratulatory messages.
Following the birth of her daughter, rumors circulated about the identity of the baby’s father, with singer Spyro being linked to the child. Spyro swiftly debunked the claims via his Instagram story, calling out the ignorance behind such speculation and urging Nigerians to focus on building a positive mindset.
“The rich get richer and the poor get poorer because of their mentality,” he remarked.
In May, Nengi made her first public appearance post-childbirth, stepping out for Vice The Party’s Elite Party. The reality star donned a bold, see-through outfit that sparked mixed reactions online.
Facing backlash, Nengi opened up about her struggles with her post-partum body. She revealed that she delivered her baby via an emergency C-section and has not yet been cleared to hit the gym. While admitting her insecurities, she emphasized that she is still on the path to self-acceptance.
“Next time, I will tie wrapper and headgear to make you happy,” she joked in response to critics.
Despite the criticism, Nengi remains confident and unshaken. In a separate post, she flaunted her post-baby body, reminding her detractors that she’s still in her prime.
“No matter how much you cry, I’m still that girl, and I’m nobody’s mate,” she declared confidently.
