Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Maria Chike Benjamin, marked a special milestone today as her first child, Leonardo Amarana, turns one on October 1, 2024.
The proud mom took to Instagram to celebrate her son, sharing cherished memories from his birth to his first birthday. From his first moments in her arms, to his first Christmas, and the day he began crawling, Maria relived the beautiful milestones that have shaped their journey together.
In an emotional video post, Maria expressed her deep love for Leonardo, recalling the moment she discovered she was pregnant and how her life changed when she first held him. She shared how both she and Leonardo’s father, Kelvin, are filled with gratitude for their son’s presence in their lives.
I have loved you right from when the first two pink lines appeared. Bone of my bone, you are the one who made me a mum. The first time I held you in my arms, my life changed, and it’s only been happiness since. You have my heart forever, Leonardo. Your dad and I couldn’t be more thankful to God for you each day. Happy 1st birthday, son,” she wrote.
Maria’s relationship with Kelvin previously made headlines after rumors surfaced that she had interfered with his marriage. However, in a past interview with Chude Jideonwo, Maria addressed the controversy, stating that she was unaware of his marital status at the time they started dating and affirming that she had not wrecked his previous relationship.
