Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda is navigating the difficulty of moving forward in life without his closest friend, Mohbad, by his side.

In a heartfelt series of Instagram stories, Bella opened up about his struggle to heed Mohbad’s advice to stop dwelling on his passing, confessing the challenge of doing so. He shared his emotional turmoil, expressing how he’s been grappling with drinking and constantly wavering on how to proceed without Mohbad.

Expressing his distress over the impact on their sons, Bella lamented that Mohbad’s son, Abiola Imole, won’t get the chance to know his father. Despite this, he pledged to ensure Mohbad’s memory lives on in their children’s hearts and vowed to take care of his friend’s son, passing on all the love they shared.

You told me to stop it, I’ve been trying. I just hope you’re okay where you are because I have not been happy for days. Have been drinking and going back and forth on how to move on. It’s sad Abiola Imole never got to know you, but rest assured I will tell your story and definitely take care of your child. I’m passing all the love to our sons. Lol, low-key I’m Bella and Sons Inc.”

Recalling the time of Mohbad’s passing, Bella previously made headlines for declaring that he wouldn’t pay his last respects, believing that Mohbad’s spirit remains vividly alive.

In an earlier statement, he expressed a conviction that Mohbad’s spirit wouldn’t find peace until certain matters involving Naira Marley and his record label were addressed.

Recently, Bella Shmurda revealed during a commemoration in Canada that he received the devastating news of Mohbad’s passing days after leaving Nigeria, intensifying the pain due to the geographical distance.

Adding to Bella’s emotional journey, he received advice from his mother, suggesting that he remain in Canada until the emotions and chaos in Nigeria subsided.
