Real Madrid striker Kareem Benzema has hit 352 goals for Real Madrid becoming the second player in the club’s history to do so after Cristiano Ronaldo , top scorer with 451 goals.
He surpassed the 234 scored in La Liga by another Real Madrid legend who wore the number 9: Hugo Sanchez.
Benzema scored a hatrick to get the goal tally, with a third hatrick in the month of April.
With this hat-trick, he launched the hunt for Robert Lewandowski in the fight for the Pichichi, reducing the margin to two goals.
The Frenchman has already scored 28 goals this season, but in 36 games, as it has been a campaign in which physical problems have kept him out in up to 13 matches.
Real Madrid will hope that Benzema’s fine form continues as the team faces ‘on fire’ Manchester City on the 9th of May in the Champions League semi-finals.
With La Liga almost out of sight, Real Madrid will look to win the Champions League a record 15th time.
