Bewaji, the wife of controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has seemingly reacted to his ongoing drama with his fourth baby mama, Ashabi.
This comes after Portable publicly called out Ashabi, confirming that she is expecting his second child and accusing her of making conflicting statements about their relationship.
Portable claimed that Ashabi had called Bewaji to inform her that she would be stepping aside from her relationship with him, despite being pregnant with his child. He boasted about elevating Ashabi’s career and securing deals for her without his explicit approval.
In response, Bewaji took to social media in a now-deleted post, expressing her desire for her sons to marry women like her. She emphasized the importance of appreciating good women, who are rare and should never be taken for granted. Bewaji’s heartfelt message read:
I pray my son should marry a woman like me (Amen). And I want to teach them how to appreciate such women. Such women are so rare to find and never to be taken for granted. Never regret being a good woman to the wrong man. One man’s loss is the next man’s blessing.”
This post follows a series of public marital issues between Bewaji and Portable. Last month, the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram, signaling trouble in their relationship. Bewaji had shared a cryptic post calling herself a queen and lamenting about ungrateful people, which did not sit well with Portable. He retaliated by stating that she was nothing without his name and warned her against pushing him to the wall.
The tension escalated on Bewaji’s birthday, when Portable dragged her over her birthday caption, “Queen of Herself.” He demanded respect and threatened to expel her from their matrimonial home if she did not change the caption. Bewaji eventually gave in to his demands, and to make amends, Portable took her on a trip to Nairobi, Kenya, flaunting their reconciliation on social media.
