We are recruiting for a Billing/Front desk Officer who will be responsible for managing billing processes, invoicing, and billing systems. The Candidate will need to possess analytical skills, and be able to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the front desk gives interim bills to inpatients on a daily basis. Job
- Answering inbounds calls, emails and directing enquires politely.
- Ensure patient’s comfort and satisfaction, ensuring patients are attended to in due time.
- In charge of the billings and daily collections.
- Daily review of the OPD/IPD Patient chart, identifying and categorizing new HMO/Corporate old patients like.
- Check patients’ credit ratings and ensure patients pay on time.
- Liase between different sections/departments of the hospital to ensure smooth patient’s flow.
- Debt Recovery: Pursue payment; negotiate repayment plans with patients with outstanding bills.
- Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary.
- Escalate issues and negative feedbacks from patients in a bid to improve and serve better.
- Responding promptly to patients’ inquiries.
- Account Reconciliation; maintain accurate and up to date patients account records.
Qualification
- B.Sc., HND in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field with 2-3 years’ experience in billing.
- NYSC discharge Certificate.
- Proven work experience as an Administrative /medical billing officer
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical Skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and medical billing software.
- Good attention to details and strong problem-solving skills.
