Bimbo Akisanya, a Nollywood actress, has come to the defense of her colleague, Funke Akindele, amidst claims of abandonment regarding the late Jumoke Aderounmu.
Bimbo shared a touching story from 10 years ago, revealing Funke’s compassionate act towards the late Folake Oshadare, a makeup artist battling cancer.
According to Bimbo, Folake disclosed that Funke Akindele had been financially supporting her by providing monthly funds for her medication. Bimbo recounted how moved she was by Funke’s kindness and even shared the touching gesture with her family.
Acknowledging that nobody is perfect, Bimbo emphasized that Funke, despite her imperfections, is an angel in her own right. She urged others to recognize Funke’s benevolent side and not judge her solely on her shortcomings.
This defense comes in response to accusations made by Late Jumoke Aderounmu’s brother, Adeola, who criticized Funke for allegedly abandoning his sister during her illness. Funke had tearfully addressed the accusations on Instagram Live, explaining her side of the story and denying claims of abandonment.
