Omoba Yousuph Ganiyu, the husband of Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde, has set tongues wagging with a statement many believe hints at trouble in their marriage.
In a recent post, Yousuph wrote:
The worst prison in the world is a home without peace and respect. Be careful who you marry.” The post has since triggered speculation that all may not be well between the pair.
Checks on the couple’s Instagram pages revealed they have unfollowed each other and wiped all pictures of themselves. Observers also noticed that Yousuph has been absent from the pregnancy updates and videos Bimpe has shared since welcoming their daughter.
Fans have reacted strongly, with some urging Yousuph to let Bimpe enjoy her new motherhood, while others expressed concern over her well-being.
Bimpe welcomed her second child, a baby girl, in July, announcing that her nine-month journey ended in praise. She described the experience as tough and frightening but ultimately filled with gratitude to God.
Her marriage to Yousuph took place in June 2023 in a Nikah ceremony after she had been single for two years. At the time, Bimpe revealed that her husband had admired her long before they met, calling their meeting a blessing. Just last year, she publicly appreciated him for being intentional and for standing by his word when others could not.
