Yoruba Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has opened up about arresting her assistant for allegedly stealing from her.
In a heartfelt video shared on her Instagram page, Biola explained that her assistant had been caught in the act of theft but continued to lie and even attempted to frame her. The mother of one expressed her frustration with the betrayal and the challenges of dealing with such situations, especially when trying to maintain peace.
“My manager was stealing from me. Even my assistant, after she left, was also stealing. I got her arrested yesterday, and people were asking me to sue her in court, but I said I didn’t want to do that. I wish I had listened to them because she is still lying and looking for something to use against me. No matter how hard you try to please people, you can never satisfy them.”
Emotional Strain and Gratitude for Support
In her caption, Biola shared how the situation had left her feeling exhausted and emotionally drained. She thanked her fans and well-wishers who reached out to support her during the ordeal.
“I’m just tired and weak! People will make you question your sanity. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me on that case. I’m grateful for the love.”
This isn’t the first time Nollywood stars have had to deal with staff misconduct.
- Peggy Ovire arrested a production crew member for stealing equipment, including gas cylinders, from her movie set. Despite offering the individual assistance, she was met with betrayal.

Last year, Biola Bayo also expressed heartbreak over a tragic situation involving a couple in the UK whose three children were taken into custody by the government. Her public reaction showcased her compassionate nature, making her recent ordeal even more disheartening for her fans.
