Nollywood actress Bisola Badmus has revealed her ongoing three-year struggle with a brain tumor in an emotional video with colleague Kunle Afod.
She shared that the illness severely impacted her, making it difficult for her to speak or recognize people at one point. Bisola explained that while surgery is not an option, she has been managing her condition with medication, which she must continue indefinitely. She also attributed her health issues to stress, stating,
What causes brain tumors is too much thinking.”
The revelation has prompted an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues alike, with many offering prayers for her recovery:
- Kareem Mariam advised she should be surrounded by positive people to prevent overthinking.
- Suliat Amusa and others suggested financial support for her treatment, while Bukola Oduntan encouraged her to seek spiritual help from NSPPD, a well-known prayer group.
This difficult period for Bisola follows previous health struggles. In December 2023, she shared her battle with Encephalopathy, a brain disease, during her birthday celebration. This came after the loss of her mother in January 2022, which compounded her emotional and physical challenges.
In response to her situation, actor Alesh Sanni made a public appeal on Instagram, urging people to contribute to her recovery rather than waiting until it is too late. He expressed his hope for her healing and encouraged the Nollywood community to come together to support her in this trying time.
