Nigerian blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus has publicly apologized to actress Sharon Ooja following shocking claims about her husband, Ugo Nwoke.
Earlier reports by the blogger had described Ugo Nwoke as a billionaire from Imo State and alleged that Sharon Ooja was his fourth wife, following three previous marriages.
In a recent statement, Stella Dimoko Korkus acknowledged her mistake, admitting that her headlines were inappropriate and poorly timed. She expressed deep regret for any hurt caused to Sharon Ooja and took full responsibility for her actions.
In her words,
“Dear Sharon Ooja,
I deeply apologize for the story on your being the 4th wife….I should not have numbered you…
I do agree that it was a bad headline and it was the wrong timing..
I deeply apologize for hurting you, it was not my intention and I take responsibility for my actions…
I am doing this Apology because I am truly sorry.May the love you have found last a lifetime and may you find happiness and Joy in your marriage as every woman deserves……
You are not a person trailed by scandals and I am sorry that I made that happen.
We will celebrate you tomorrow and every day..
Truly sorry.”
Sharon Ooja’s close friend, Bisola Aiyeola, had previously criticized the blog for its false claims, asserting that no one could disturb Sharon’s peace. Bisola urged the blogger to come up with more lies, as they were ready to celebrate Sharon’s white wedding in Abuja.
In March, Sharon Ooja announced her engagement and marriage, sharing photos from her engagement and civil wedding. Last week, she hosted a bridal shower attended by Nollywood friends, including Nancy Isime and Beverly Osu. On June 27th, Sharon had a traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja, where she unveiled her husband’s face in a heartfelt video captioned, “Introducing the King of my heart.”
