Manchester United has received a significant boost as the South American duo, Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez, have returned to full training at Carrington, marking a crucial step in their recoveries from injuries sustained earlier in the season.
Lisandro Martinez, the centre-back, has been sidelined since the Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich on September 20. In a recent update, he expressed satisfaction with his rehabilitation progress, describing it as “perfect.”
Influential midfielder Casemiro, absent since an injury in the Carabao Cup clash with Newcastle United on November 1, is also back on the training pitch.
The pair, who have been undergoing individual training alongside medical staff in recent months, joined the full squad in a training session on Wednesday, indicating their imminent return to action.
While Manager Erik ten Hag hinted at a potential January return for the Argentina and Brazil internationals, the exact timeline remains uncertain. Encouragingly, Ten Hag also mentioned that Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, and Mason Mount are working towards a similar return timeframe.
With two upcoming matches in January, including an Emirates FA Cup third-round tie against Wigan Athletic on January 8 and a Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on January 14, United fans can anticipate the return of these key players to bolster the squad.
