Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, a former member of the House of Representatives who served as the representative for Delta State’s Ika Federal Constituency, is dead.
The politician reportedly passed away on Wednesday night while watching South Africa vs. Nigeria in the AFCON semifinals.
According to a close political source:
“Cairo Ojougboh, a medical doctor died during the Nigeria vs.South Africa match.
“The incident happened when the penalty was awarded against Nigeria. Dr Ojougboh was said to have shouted and slumped due to massive heart attack when SA scored.”
His family has not to release a statement on his passing at the time of reporting this article.
Friends and political allies, on the other hand, have already begun to mourn him on social media.
