Hon Moses Thomas Sule, Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, and Hon Gwottaon, his deputy, have both resigned.
Gabriel Dawang, a member from Pankshin North, was later chosen as the Assembly’s new speaker.
Hon Timothy Dantong, who represents the Riyom constituency, was elected as the next Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
As of press time, the details of their resignations are still hazy, the development may be linked to the state’s political instability.
