  • We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Business Analyst. Job
  • The successful candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions in the Bank.
  • The role entails understanding business requirements, analysing processes, and ensuring that IT deliverables align with business goals.
  • The Business Analyst will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of technology projects that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering and Documentation:

  • Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops with stakeholders (staff, customers, partners, etc.) to gather comprehensive business requirements.
  • Document and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Develop detailed process maps, business models, and use case scenarios.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business improvement.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Use analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) to extract, clean, and analyze data.

Solution Design and Evaluation:

  • Collaborate with Bank IT, Group IT and business teams to design effective solutions that meet business needs.
  • Evaluate different technology solutions and provide recommendations based on cost-benefit analysis.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and comply with regulatory standards.

Project Management Support:

  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones, and monitor project progress.
  • Prepare status reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders and management.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop test plans, test cases, and perform testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback from end-users.
  • Document defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.

Process Improvement and Optimization:

  • Identify and analyze existing business processes to find areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units, IT, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication among stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that IT solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Stay updated with changes in banking regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics/Finance, Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s Degree or MBA is advantageous.
  • Experience: 3 – 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in delivering IT projects and process improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., SWOT analysis, GAP analysis).
  • Strong knowledge of banking software systems and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
