Overview

The Committee was set up by the Federal Government of Nigeria to review the Nigerian financial system. FITC was established to provide innovative knowledge solutions and capacity-building programmes that develop and strengthen resources for the Nigerian financial services sector through Advisory services, Learning, Research and Advocacy.

FITC is owned by the Banker’s Committee, which comprises of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), all licensed banks, and discount houses in Nigeria.

Job Description

  • This job description outlines the core responsibilities and qualifications expected of a Senior Executive Assistant to the MD at a Learning Management Organization.
  • The Senior Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Managing Director, handling a wide range of executive support tasks and ensuring efficient operation of the executive office.

Responsibilities
Calendar Management:

  • Manage and prioritize the MD’s calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare travel itineraries as needed.

Communication Liaison:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Screen and prioritize incoming communications, including emails, phone calls, and mail.

Meeting Coordination:

  • Prepare agendas and necessary materials for meetings.
  • Attend meetings with the MD, take minutes, and distribute them accordingly.
  • Follow up on action items and ensure timely execution.

Document Preparation:

  • Draft and edit correspondence, presentations, reports, and other documents on behalf of the MD.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Project Management:

  • Assist in coordinating special projects and initiatives as assigned by the MD.
  • Track project progress and deadlines, ensuring milestones are met.

Office Management:

  • Oversee office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and manage office equipment.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Act as a liaison between the MD and department heads or external partners.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support such as filing, copying, and data entry.
  • Handle expenses and reimbursements, maintaining accurate records.

Qualification

  • 10 years experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role supporting senior executives.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based at the Lagos headquarters.
