Renowned Nigerian singer and entertainer, Charly Boy, fondly known as Area Fada, has once again overcome a significant health challenge, emerging as a Prostate Cancer Survivor.
The legendary artist expressed his gratitude to God for the victory over the illness, sharing the news on his Instagram page along with a video from his hospital bed.
In the heartfelt post, Charly Boy reflected on the events of the year 2023, acknowledging the mix of good, bad, and ugly experiences. He emphasized the importance of cheating death from an ailment that has claimed many lives, particularly Prostate Cancer. The artist noted that while this year is drawing to a close, he, along with all his fans and followers, looks forward to seeing 2024 by God’s grace.
Many things bin happen dis year 2023. The good, the bad and the ugly. But most importantly, I cheated death for something wey no suppose kill us but has killed many. Am a Prostate Cancer Survivor. God, am grateful. I know say dis year remain small but still by his Grace, me and everybody reading dis, shall see 2024. Iseee!!” Charly Boy expressed in his Instagram post.
This announcement comes after Charly Boy shared his battle with prostate cancer in April, revealing that he had undergone surgery and expressing gratitude for being a survivor. Months later, he announced plans to hold a Thanksgiving ceremony over his life.
