Reports have surfaced indicating that Chef Dammy was allegedly arrested by the police AIG Zone 1 in Akure after filing a petition against her pastor. Chef Dammy had recently made startling revelations about the pastor who had financed her cook-a-thon competition.
The chef expressed concerns for her safety, believing that her pastor should be held accountable if anything untoward were to happen to her. In a Facebook post on October 19th, 2023, Chef Dammy revealed that she had been living in constant fear and had faced threats, curses, and ridicule from “men of God” for months after her cook-a-thon.
A tweet by user Yemie Fash disclosed that Chef Dammy had been picked up by the police, and he raised an alarm about the alleged corruption history of the particular police station involved. He urged Chef Dammy’s family to speak out to seek justice for the young chef.
