Nigerian award-winning filmmaker Chinney Love Eze Ogunje marked her first wedding anniversary today, November 20th.
Sharing throwback photos on Instagram, she reminisced about the vibrant after-party from her wedding and expressed love for her husband, describing him as stubborn but acknowledging that she signed up for it.
Celebrating their milestone, Chinney wrote:
On this day last year, we were dancing our hearts out at our very lit after-party. It’s been one year with this stubborn man, but I guess I signed up for it. Happy one-year anniversary to us forever! Last slide is the only gift I got; can you imagine?”

Chinney Love’s Recent Milestones
Chinney Love has had a whirlwind year. In October, she announced the birth of her daughter, Adele Oghenetega Chibusonma Ogunje. Expressing gratitude, she shared her joy as a new mother.
Earlier this month, she returned to Nigeria after spending months in the US with her newborn. Reflecting on her solo journey abroad, she questioned how others manage to cope with the demands of raising children alone. Upon her return, Uche Jombo and Ini Edo visited her and showered her baby with foreign currency gifts.
In July, Chinney revealed a shocking encounter with a tout who robbed her of her car’s side mirrors after she refused to give him money. The incident left her questioning the state of security in Nigeria. While she had never been an advocate for relocating abroad, the experience made her lament deeply about the country’s challenges.
