PSG head coach, Christophe Galtier could face up to three years in prison for ‘moral harassment and discrimination.’ The trial for Galtier’s case is set to take place on 15 December this year.
Galtier reportedly sent an email during his time as head coach of OGC Nice, stating:
“You have built a team of scum. There are only blacks and half the team goes to the mosque on Friday.”
Galtier, 56, and his son, John Valovic-Galtier, were detained by police on Friday to be questioned as a result of their inflammatory statements.
However, according to Sportskeeda, there may be major repercussions if the PSG manager is found guilty in the December trial. In addition to a three-year prison sentence, Galtier could be fined €45,000, according to the newspaper.
Christophe Galtier, expected to be fired by the Qatari owners of the French Ligue champions, has not yet been addressed by PSG.
Luis Enrique, a former manager of Barcelona and Spain, has been mentioned as a possible Galtier replacement at PSG.
