Popular TV host and media personality, Chude Jideonwo, has shown heartfelt support for Liam, the young son of late singer Mohbad. Taking to Instagram, Chude shared touching photos of himself with Liam and the late singer’s wife, Omowunmi, while offering prayers for the toddler’s future.
Chude Jideonwo expressed his admiration for Liam, describing him as one of the most joyful and beautiful babies he has ever met. In his prayer, Chude emphasized the toddler’s bright destiny, saying:
“I said a prayer for Liam, Mohbad’s son.
One of the most joyful, most beautiful babies I ever met.
This one was made to be a star. And no generational trauma will steal his destiny.
Amen.”
The post resonated with fans, many of whom joined Chude in praying for Liam’s bright future.
Liam’s mother, Omowunmi, has been candid about her struggles since Mohbad’s passing. In a recent interview, she revealed the challenges of navigating life as a widow while battling family disputes over Mohbad’s properties and facing threats allegedly from Naira Marley and others.
Despite the turmoil, Liam has found love and support from notable figures. Actress Iyabo Ojo and her family have embraced the toddler, treating him as one of their own. In October last year, Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla, shared a heartwarming video of herself bonding with Liam, who charmed viewers with his energetic dance moves.
Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley’s Marlian Records, passed away under mysterious circumstances on September 12, 2024, at the age of 27. His untimely death sparked widespread grief and controversy, including calls for a DNA test to confirm Liam’s paternity.
Even Mohbad’s father publicly supported the DNA test, a sentiment echoed by singer Cynthia Morgan. In April 2024, a Chief Magistrate Court in Ikorodu ordered that legal notices regarding the DNA test application be served to Omowunmi after earlier attempts failed.
As Liam grows, the love and prayers from figures like Chude Jideonwo and Iyabo Ojo’s family continue to shine a light on his future. Mohbad’s legacy lives on through his son, with many hoping that the challenges surrounding his father’s death will not overshadow the bright potential that Liam holds.
