Renowned comedian and box office sensation, Ayo Makun, affectionately known as AY, has responded to critics who have raised concerns about his parenting style, addressing accusations of child abuse in a playful and tongue-in-cheek manner.
AY, who recently made headlines due to a fire incident that led to his temporary relocation from his Lagos mansion to the United States, found himself under scrutiny after sharing a video of his one-year-old daughter participating in household chores by sweeping the floor.
In response to the criticism, AY offered a witty retort, referencing the ChildHelp National Child Abuse Hotline, humorously pointing out that the hotline is not available in Atlanta, where he is currently residing. In a light-hearted tone, he urged his critics to focus on their own business, lest he humorously jests about sending the same fire that impacted his residence to theirs.
Addressing his critics, AY playfully stated,
Mind your business or I will send the same fire that b….n my house to your house. Let the poor comedian BREATHE.”
The comedian’s intention seems to be less about taking offence and more about engaging with his critics in a manner that aligns with his comedic persona.
