Comedian Nedu Reveals Reason He Won’t Marry a Virgin

Nedu, a renowned media figure in Nigeria, has explained why he won’t marry a virgin. He added that non-virgins make better decisions and that the majority of virgins are not competent decision-makers.

Now now, we know there are virgins who want to marry him either. However, the comedian recently made a statement on the audiovisual podcast The Honest Bunch, which he also co-hosts. He makes a lot of statements true. This time though, he asserts that the majority of virgins think their virginity is their pride and everything they have to offer.

In his words,  “If I want to marry, I’ll not marry person wey be virgin. I will tell you why. I think girls that are not virgins make decisions better. Most girls that are virgins believe ‘Oh this is my pride. My virginity is my pride. My virginity is my value. I’m a 30-year-old and I’m a virgin. I’ve kept myself.”

Juliana Olayode, an actress who was a guest on the program, however, refuted Nedu’s assertions that virgins have poor decision-making skills.

She retorted that “There are a lot of women who are virgins and are very knowledgeable. They know that that is not all there is to them. You can bring one million, and they will increase it to fifty million. So, I don’t think it is an experience thing.

“Experience thing puts pressure on a lot of people. I’m speaking especially for people like Juliana [myself] that have a Juliana kind of mindset about this situation. I feel like that person who is a pro now did not start off as a pro. The person already has so many experiences with different men, maybe with the same man, and that is why the person is a pro.”

“So, I feel like we live in a culture where people don’t want to grow with you because there is so much hype about ‘I hit it, I got it right. Yes, I screamed. I shout.’ There is so much hype about that that a lot of people are not willing to just grow with you. And I feel like people who are willing to walk that journey with people, they share more bonds and connections, especially sexual journey, ” Olayode said.

However, we should remember Nedu is a comedian. People tend to forget this is the career path he chose for himself since his standup act isn’t exactly successful.  He also previously had tried to make skits. Unfortunately, he wasn’t funny enough to make that work either. Anyway, this might just be another of his jokes, who knows?
