According to the Daily Mail, this is due to a pre-nuptial agreement to secure Rodriguez’s financial future.
The reports that the couple had split up led to the leak of information about this alimony-style payment. The recent downplaying of the rumours by CR7’s mother and the recent sighting of the couple together in Spain suggest that everything is well.
