Media personality Daddy Freeze has stirred up controversy after congratulating music star Davido for surpassing his rival, Wizkid, in wealth.
Using his Instagram platform, Daddy Freeze shared a screenshot of the Richest African Artists list, where Davido emerged as the richest with a net worth of $100 million.
The list places Don Jazzy second with a net worth of $50 million, followed by Burna Boy in third place at $30 million. Surprisingly, Wizkid ranked fourth with $25 million, while Rema rounded out the top five with $15 million.
According to this list, Davido, a 2024 Grammy nominee, is not only four times richer than Wizkid but also wealthier than another rival, Burna Boy.
Impressed by the figures, Daddy Freeze captioned the post with a congratulatory message to Davido: “Congratulations Davido.”
This post follows a series of intense rants from Wizkid against Davido just a week prior. For over 24 hours, Wizkid aimed jabs at Davido, calling his career “wack” and criticizing the people around him as being broke despite frequently traveling with him. In another tweet, Wizkid declared that Davido was not on his level when it came to music, dressing, or finances, further asserting that Davido does not make more money than anyone in the industry.
As expected, Daddy Freeze’s post attracted diverse reactions from fans.
