Media personality Daddy Freeze has weighed in on the controversy surrounding actress Kate Henshaw’s Father’s Day message.

Kate had faced backlash after sharing a Bible passage and celebrating only responsible fathers, praying for God’s strength, favor, and blessings on them. Critics highlighted the double standard, noting that she had wished all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day without reservation.

Daddy Freeze concurred with Kate Henshaw’s emphasis on responsibility but added a crucial clarification. He acknowledged that while fathers should be responsible, some good men are unable to fulfill these duties due to financial, health, or other reasons beyond their control. He also pointed out that some women contribute to a man’s inability to be responsible by destroying them psychologically, emotionally, and financially.

Kate is right; as a father you need to be responsible. However, there are good men out there who can’t afford to be responsible for financial, health or other reasons, so it’s not their fault. Many women are also the reason why some men are irresponsible. If you destroy a man psychologically, emotionally and financially, you can’t expect magic can you?? The scriptures quoted also cut both ways,” Daddy Freeze stated.

Last year, singer Paul Okoye had also addressed female celebrities who consider themselves fathers, expressing frustration over their impact on the significance of Father’s Day. He noted how mothers often overshadow the celebration, and he looked forward to a man celebrating himself on Mother’s Day to highlight the imbalance.

In other discussions, Daddy Freeze had shared his insights on partnerships and marriages. He asserted that a husband is not a woman’s partner but rather the head of the house. He advised women to see their husbands not as equals but as the heads of their households, emphasizing traditional marital roles.
