Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has fired back at popular TikToker, Temi Darcey, after she alleged in a post that he sold tickets for his recent wedding in Miami.
The singer, who tied the knot with his longtime partner Chioma in July, took to his Instagram story to address the claim. Tagging Temi directly, Davido issued a stern warning, urging her to keep his and Chioma’s names out of what he described as her “dirty mouth.”
According to him, Temi’s commentary was nothing but “bad vibes,” adding that he and his wife enjoyed a beautiful and unforgettable wedding celebration.
The strongly worded reaction comes weeks after Davido and Chioma’s lavish white wedding in Miami, which drew the presence of high-profile guests including Aliko Dangote, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Obi Cubana and his wife, Uche Jombo, Zlatan Ibile and wife, and several other A-list personalities.
The wedding itself was the talk of the town. Davido reportedly spent $3.7 million on the multi-day festivities, which included a Havana-themed pre-wedding party. He also went all out in expressing his love to Chioma, gifting her a $300,000 Richard Mille wristwatch and decorating their private jet with white flowers on their way to Miami.
During their vows, Chioma described Davido as her “love, best friend and calm in the storm,” while Davido praised her as his “peace and healer,” recounting how she accepted him despite his flaws.
The couple’s journey has been far from smooth , from the heartbreaking loss of their son to the numerous controversies surrounding Davido , yet their bond has endured. Their Miami wedding not only marked a new chapter in their love story but also reinforced their resilience as a couple celebrated both at home and abroad.
